OUR PROGRAMS

Ballet After Dark offers a variety of signature programs for Black and Brown girls and young women ages 6-24 years old. 

BAD Ballet Fellowship

A 9 week fellowship program for Black and Brown young women ages 18+ that offers a stipend, professional development, weekly somatic dance class and performance opportunities. This program runs throughout the year. This program hosts between 32-40 fellows a year.

BAD CAMP- Sessions 1/2/3

A 2 week immersive camp experience for Black and Brown girls and teens ages 6-17 years old. Includes meals, field trips and more. Youth participate in up to 25 hours of programming a week. BAD Camp hosts 20 youth per session.

Periodt!™️(Spring / Summer)

A fellowship program for girls and young women ages 14+ offering curriculum training, stipend, mentorship and conditional employment offers. Also offered as part of our Youthworks partnership with Baltimore City. This program hosts between 10-20 youth fellows a session.

Aqua Ballet

A 9 class beginner's swim education workshop for Black and Brown girls and youth ages 7-17 years old. Participants are introduced to water safety and survival swimming.

Registration opens September 2025.

In-Person Trauma Informed Training

A series of virtual trauma-informed workshops for youth ages 7 and up that focus on topics of friendship, healthy relationships, teen dating violence, consent, bystander prevention and more. These 60 minute long training sessions are offered during January, April and October for Stalking Awareness, Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. These workshops host between 5-20 participants.

Hot Sex Kits (Stickers (Circle)).png

Hot Sex Kits

An emergency contraception program for  trusted nonprofits providing resources to sexually active youth in Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Howard County. Hot Sex Kits are filled with reproductive and sexual health information, prophylactics and emergency contraception for sexually active youth. Safe sex is hot! Request your kit today.

Code Red

Code Red provides free resources to girls and young women impacted by period poverty throughout Baltimore City. To date, we've successfully packed and distributed over 7,000 units of Code Red boxes to program partners and community members impacted by period poverty. We have a commitment to providing comprehensive menstrual and reproductive health education to Black and Brown girls and young women throughout Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Howard County. Each FREE Code Red box includes (while supplies last)-

  • Reusable Period Panties

  • 1 Month Supply of Organic Menstrual Products

  • 1 Compressed Towel 

  • 1 Pre-pasted Toothbrush

  • Deodorant/Hygiene Wipes

  • 1 Heating Pad

  • Shower Gel

  • Stickers & more!

Youth Advisory Board

Are you a passionate young community member and want to see change happen? Then lend your voice and help us grow! Contribute thoughts to field trips, career exploration workshops, internships, presentation proposals, etc! This opportunity is for Black and Brown girls and young women ages 14+!

Do you have expertise in entrepreneurship, policy and advocacy, fundraising, legal support, trauma-informed care, health and medical resources, arts and education? Any other tool or strategy you'd like to contribute?! Then lend your voice, skills and talent to help us grow!

$5 Monthly Donation- Members receive social media and website recognition/waived registration for 1 camper

 

$10 Monthly Donation- Members receive invite to annual summer cookout and social media and website recognition/registration waived for 1 camper

BAD STITCHES

Do you have an interest in fashion? Ever wondered about sewing machines, patterns and fabrics? Are you passionate about community work? Then join this 3 class workshop and help support our mission of providing resources for Black and Brown girls and young women impacted by period poverty throughout Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Howard County. 

An introductory workforce development program for girls 14 and up! Learn about period poverty while stitching organic reusable menstrual pads and pantyliners. This program is invitation only.
