OUR PROGRAMS
Ballet After Dark offers a variety of signature programs for Black and Brown girls and young women ages 7-24 years old.
BAD Ballet Fellowship
A 12 week fellowship program for Black and Brown young women ages 18+ that offers a monthly stipend, professional development, weekly somatic dance class and performance opportunities. This program runs throughout the year. Dance fellows meet every Sunday evening for somatic dance class techniques and repertoire rehearsal and participate in weekly and monthly mentorship meetings. Dance fellows participate in up to 25 hours of programming a month which can also include performances, assemblies and workshop resources such as social media literacy, self-defense and more. Dance fellows also receive professional development in the form of a certificate. This program hosts between 32-40 fellows a year.
Periodt!™️(Spring / Summer)
A fellowship program for girls and young women ages 14+ offering curriculum training, participation stipend, mentorship and conditional employment offers. Also offered as part of our Youthworks partnership with Baltimore City. Youth participate in up to 25 hours of programming during the available sessions. This program hosts between 10-20 youth fellows a year.

Aqua Ballet (coming soon)
Aqua-Ballet registration will open this summer. This is a comprehensive program for girls ages 5 and up without any swim safety experience.
In-Person Trauma Informed Training
A series of virtual trauma-informed workshops for youth ages 7 and up that focus on topics of friendship, healthy relationships, teen dating violence, consent, bystander prevention and more. These 60 minute long training sessions are offered during January, April and October for Stalking Awareness, Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. These workshops host between 5-20 participants.

Hot Sex Kits
An emergency contraception program for sexually active youth in Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Howard County. Hot Sex Kits are filled with reproductive and sexual health information, prophylactics and emergency contraception for sexually active youth. Safe sex is hot! Request your kit today.
Code Red
Code Red provides free resources to girls and young women impacted by period poverty throughout Baltimore City. To date, we've successfully packed and distributed over 4000 units of Code Red boxes to program partners and community members impacted by period poverty. We have a commitment to providing comprehensive menstrual and reproductive health education to Black and Brown girls and young women throughout the state.
