OUR PROGRAMS

Ballet After Dark offers a variety of signature programs for Black and Brown girls and young women ages 6-24 years old.

BAD Ballet Fellowship- Youthworks

This 6-week fellowship is for Black and Brown young women ages 16–21 who are ready to move, create, and grow! Participants will take daily somatic dance classes, explore their creativity, and perform, while also building real-world skills like teamwork, leadership, and career readiness.

In partnership with YouthWorks, this paid opportunity will bring together 20 young people in a supportive and empowering space. Along the way, fellows will discover how dance can be more than just movement—it can be a powerful way to tell stories, express yourself, and make an impact in your community.

2026 BAD Camp/Junior Counselor- Youthworks

BAD Camp is back—and it’s giving summer vibes, fun, and growth all in one.

This 2-week immersive camp is designed for Black and Brown girls and teens ages 6–17 who are ready to learn, explore, and have a blast. From field trips to hands-on activities, you’ll spend up to 25 hours a week building skills, making friends, and trying new things—all with meals included.

Each session is intentionally small (just 20 spots!), so every camper gets a chance to shine. Spots fill fast—BAD Camp registration is officially open!

Want to level up your summer? Become a Junior Camp Counselor.

In partnership with YouthWorks, we’re hiring 10 youth ages 14–21 to help lead the experience. Get paid while building leadership skills, supporting campers, and being part of daily activities, field trips, and creative programming.

Step up, stand out, and be part of something bigger.

Periodt!™️

Our signature program brings real talk about menstrual, reproductive, and sexual health to the forefront. Designed for girls and young women ages 6+, this interactive curriculum includes 8 engaging modules that break down the basics and go beyond—creating space for questions, confidence, and self-discovery.

Through fun, honest, and empowering sessions, participants learn to understand their bodies, own their choices, and build the knowledge they need to advocate for themselves and their health.

In-Person Trauma Informed Training

Real conversations. Real skills. Real support.

This series of virtual, trauma-informed workshops is designed for youth ages 5+ and dives into topics that matter—friendship, healthy relationships, consent, teen dating violence, bystander action, and more. These interactive 60-minute sessions create a safe space to learn, speak up, and look out for yourself and others.

Offered in January, April, and October in honor of Stalking Awareness, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, these workshops are all about building confidence, awareness, and the power to make informed choices.

We’re committed to making sure Black and Brown girls and young women across Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Howard County have access to not just products, but real, honest menstrual and reproductive health education.

Each FREE Code Red box (while supplies last) is packed with essentials to help you feel ready, confident, and cared for:

Reusable period panties

1-month supply of organic menstrual products

Compressed towel

Pre-pasted toothbrush

Deodorant + hygiene wipes

Heating pad

Shower gel

Stickers & more

No shame. No stress. Just support when you need it.
